The hut and its team

Cabane de Louvie, at its present location, has existed since 1997. The current building replaced the old workers barracks, which were built to accommodate those employed in the construction of the Louvie dam.

Towards the end of the 1960s the canteen became the first cabin in Louvie. Still remaining from this time is the fountain beside the river and a small house which serves as housing for staff of the cabin.

​

For some of us there are also wonderful memories, such as the unforgettable times of two characters in particular: Emile Corthay the first guardian of Louvie and Anne Gattoni who was the soul of the hut for almost 20 years.
